Someone has remarked that as followers of Christ, our journey forms and binds us together; just as their journey from Galilee to Jerusalem did for the original disciples. I am privileged and honored to join St. Paul’s on-the-Hill’s journey with Christ, and to begin our formation together.
Ordained priest by the Rt. Rev. W. Michie Klusmeyer in June, 2007, I served Trinity Episcopal Church in Shepherdstown as an associate priest, and then Grace Episcopal Church in Middleway (W.Va.) for three + years as their (part-time) priest-in-charge.
My work over the years, pre and post-ordination, had been in the nonprofit sector as a public interest lawyer/manager, a women’s center director, and an area agency on aging director. My M.Div. is from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg. Other degrees are from Dickinson School of Law/Penn State (law), GWU (counseling) and VCU (music-violin).
I am committed to justice and inclusiveness and find this to be a special time in the life of the Episcopal Church, rich with opportunities to celebrate and live out the diversity with which God has gifted each one of us. I am married to Randy, and have a daughter, who lives with her spouse in the Baltimore area. I invite you to come walk with us!
